Zika Home Creations is a small handmade brand based in Cyprus, creating crochet pieces designed to bring warmth, softness, and a cozy feeling into everyday spaces.
How all began ✨
From time to time, I experimented with different creative hobbies, but crochet found its way into my life in a much more persistent way. I first came across it through an influencer I love and follow, and from that moment it stayed in my mind. I started searching, reading, and learning more about it.
My journey into the world of crochet isn’t very long. It began in early 2024, when I decided to leave my job. That very day, I went to the local yarn shop, bought two skeins and a crochet hook (to create that scarf 😅). I haven’t put them down since.
I won’t hide it, I learned crochet through YouTube videos and not from my grandmother… oops! 🤭 And somehow, what started as curiosity quickly turned into love.
What inspires my creations 🌟
From the very beginning, the direction felt clear. I wanted to create handmade, cozy, and aesthetic storage baskets for the home. Pieces that feel both practical and comforting. Once I found the right materials, I began experimenting, one stitch at a time… and that’s how we arrived here today.
I truly love coziness or hygge, as it’s beautifully called in Denmark. I’ve always been drawn to the Scandinavian way of living, maybe because of its simplicity, maybe because it focuses so much on comfort, balance, and everyday joy… or maybe because they often rank among the happiest people in the world, and I can’t help but admire that.
That love is what inspires everything I create. Minimal baskets made from 100% recycled cotton, designed to bring warmth into the home through clean organisation and calm, simple aesthetics.
